No thinning is done, but an evaluation is made in order to ensure the knife will be cutting at its full potential after the sharpening.

Over time, knives get thicker behind the edge, making cutting harder (causing "wedging") — even if the primary edge is sharp. Thinning restores the original blade grind/geometry, improving performance and making slicing easier. It’s especially necessary for well-used high-performance knives.

bringing heavily worn knives back to life
This service is intended for knives that require more extensive work to return them to proper condition. Restoration may include repairing the blade, correcting geometry, removing rust, refinishing, or replacing the handle when needed.
Each knife is evaluated individually in order to preserve as much of the original character as possible while bringing it back to a functional and reliable tool.

Knives can develop chips, broken tips, or other types of damage from regular use or accidents. This service focuses on repairing those issues to restore the knife’s shape and functionality. Depending on the damage, the repair may involve rebuilding the tip, removing chips, or correcting small deformities while preserving as much steel as possible.
